Movie Review: Sideworld: Haunted Forests of England (2022)

Sideworld: Haunted Forests of England is a horror documentary from Rubicon Films written by Jonathan Russell (Hex, The Droving) and directed and narrated by George Popov (Hex, The Droving)
This documentary tells the story of some of the most haunted forests in England. The first story is about Wistman’s Wood and goes into detail about the famous Wistman of the Wood, Spectral Wist Hounds, and stories that recount incidences of people witnessing these ghastly beasts.
The second story is about Cannock Chase and the legends of strange sightings and stories that range from pig men and aliens to missing children. The documentary also covers what may be the most terrifying of them all, Epping Forest. There are tales of a hanged highwayman bandit, a ghastly horse-drawn carriage, the ghost of a screaming woman, phantom battle drums, the notorious suicide pond where a father and daughter among many others have mysteriously died, and a lot more.
This is an absolute must-watch for anyone into the history of haunted places. The narration is great, the music was subtle, yet unnerving, and the stories about these places are all eerily fantastic. They go into great detail about all of these incidents and more.
